Author In-Conversation: Bernice Barry

Bernice Barry moved to full-time writing after a career as a teacher, adviser and international consultant in the teaching of literacy. Her previous books about the life of botanist Georgiana Molloy – A Mind that Shines and A Lady’s Pen – reflect her passion for discovering and telling women’s stories.

In September 2024 her first novel, based on the lives of female convicts in the 19C, will be released, and we are very lucky to have a sneak peek inside the pages of this book as we talk about different ways of writing history.
